What Does the Name Caorda Mean?
Understandably, we get this question a lot. We borrowed the term “chaord” from a book by author and thinker Leonard Sweet, who used it in describing adaptive and complex systems that are simultaneously chaotic and ordered. While it’s a neat idea for a company name, “chaord” just didn’t work on its own, so we dropped the “h” and added an “a” for aesthetics.
Say it like you’ve just mashed the words chaos and order together - ká-or-da.
Examples of chaordic systems abound in nature: for example, sand dunes are chaotic when examined up close, but when viewed from a distance, there is order to their composition and arrangement.
In even the most ordered of systems, there is bound to be some chaos. Caorda sees opportunity in helping clients use the right technologies to move from a chaotic state to an ordered one, while embracing and working with the creativity that chaos inevitably brings.
