Open Office Outlook and choose E-mail Accounts… from the Tools menu:
In the first page of the E-mail Accounts dialog box, choose the Add a new e-mail account option, and click the Next > button:
In the Server Type page of the E-mail Accounts dialog box, choose the POP3 option, and click the Next > button:
In the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) page of the E-mail Accounts dialog box, enter the following information:
- Your Name field – enter the name you wish to be displayed when you send e-mail from this account
- E-mail Address field – enter the e-mail address you were assigned when your email account was activated
- Incoming mail server (POP3) field – enter “pop.caorda.com”
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field – enter “relay.caorda.com”
- User Name field – enter the FULL E-MAIL ADDRESS you were assigned when your e-mail account was activated
- Password field – if you wish to have Office Outlook remember your password, enter it and ensure that the Remember password checkbox is checked
Click the More Settings… button:
A new window will pop up, select the 2nd Tab (Outgoing Server) and make sure the check mark for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” is checked, then select the Advanced tab:
Update the SMTP (Outgoing) port from 25 to 587. Then click on the OK button:
Once back to the initial E-mail Accounts screen click on the Next > button:
In the Congratulations page of the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click the Finish button:
Email Settings for Caorda.com
Account name: The name that will show up on the home screen
Your name: The name that will be shown on the emails you send
Incoming email server: imap.corda.com
Account type: IMAP
User name: Your full email address (ie: user@caorda.com)
Password: Your Password
Outgoing (SMTP) email server: relay.caorda.com
The above slider and table of settings should be sufficient for setting up EMail in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.
